Thoughts Become Things, Choose The Good Ones

In my last blog, I talked about the energy of emotions. I said that where our thoughts go, our emotions tend to follow. How many of you have totally ruined your day by letting your thoughts get the better of you?
Have you ever taken your child to the doctor and they know they have to get a shot? They will start to cry and freak out and get all worked up about something that hasn’t even happened yet. They build it up so much in their mind that they are totally sure that it is going to be the end of the world. The pre-event becomes a million times worse than the event itself. It is the fear of pain and the fear of the unknown that magnifies in their minds. It is their thoughts that are the amplifier.
So is that what gets us worked up in life? The fear of pain (or abandonment, or loss) and the fear of the unknown (what if he leaves me, what if he doesn’t love me, what if they get hurt). There sure are a lot of what ifs in there, right? Well WHAT IF things happen because that is what we are focusing on? WHAT IF??? With all of those negative thoughts in our heads and hearts, are we sending a direct request to the universe to fulfill that dreaded thought? WHAT IF?
I have another proposition for you. WHAT IF we leave all those negative thoughts in the closet where they truly belong (and I am talking the back closet that you never get into)? WHAT IF we focus on what is real and going on around us instead of what has a one in a million chance of happening? How would your day go if your thoughts were filled with all of the good in your life, and not what might happen? Hmmmm, WHAT IF???
